I guarantee the same fans up in arms have done nothing but moan about the squads motivation, mentality and effort over the years yet soon as a talented yet flawed player flashes a bit of skirt but is indulged and pampered its sound the other plebs in the squad should just keep knuckling down and accept the double standards.

Because this talented yet flawed player is 10x better than any of the other absolute dross who couldn't be arsed playing for the club. He actually contributes positively to games with goals and assists. You put forward Alex Iwobi, Bernard, Gomes, Delph etc. for 38 games or James Rodriguez for 22 games a season I'm picking James 10/10 times

I hope he stays, said it loads of times but playing half a season he’s still our best midfielder by miles, I’d be guttered never watching him play for us in person. But honestly think if he does leave for the manager or club to be blamed is ridiculous, we all knew he only joined due to ancelotti, he’s publicly talking about maybe not being with us next season when it would be just as easy for him to say in the media or on twitch that he wants to stay at Everton.

Thats all true - but again you assume he/Kean will leave and not be replaced.

I disagree with that and think we'll come out stronger overall hence why Im not bothered if he leaves as the baggage isn't worth it.

I can understand your point if you genuinely believe Longstaff will be coming in to replace him but I highly doubt it.

The noises coming out the club with Doucoure today saying he's gonna play in a more forward role shows we will likely be playing 4-5-1 with Doucoure at the tip of the 3 CMs. If we go out and actually buy a RB and RM then we might come out looking stronger but the lack of news is worrying on that front and for some reason we seem to be going for a CM instead....

I accuse our fanbase of being black or white but actually the club are just as bad.

Why is it always one extreme to the other?

I've put my faith in this squad of players and given them the benefit of the doubt over the last 5 managers mate and nothing has changed and we're going around in circles.

If the manager wants certain players out then im going to wait and see what happens before moaning when we all know the mentality of this squad is shocking.

Dunno if that stands up. He got us level at OT and the reason we were crap in the first half was the formation which didn't suit. He set up our opener at Anfield and that was the best defensive performance of the season and he was in it. He scored that worldy v Leicester which would have got us a win if not for Pickford's howler. He scored that great goal v Palace and was off the pitch when Palace scored their equaliser?

That's just a few examples.

He was also off the pitch when we scored the equaliser at Old Traffold and the equaliser at Goodison v Liverpool.

I imagine it'll be 4231 with Allan/Gbamin the CM pairing and Doucoure behind DCL with Richarlison on one flank and a wide player brought in on the other.

I think if James goes it'll allow us to bring in a RB & possibly a RW which will make us much more balanced overall.

Doucoure will push up when we counter but out of possession (most of the time) he will just fit in next to Allan and Gbamin dropping further back, Richy Left mid, Townsend right mid, can't see them being used as wide forwards (Richy by far at his best as a left forward)

The others need to know they wont be asked to do things that a pampered player wont...as under Ancelotti.

That can be corrosive in a football team.

You're wrong on the Goodison one. He played in the corner for Keane's equaliser and then he played the pass through to Digne for the cross for Dom's equlaiser.

But yet he was one of our most productive players last season. He can be interested in cash if he produces what he did last season this season. Only player in the squad who can turn a game on its head with a moment of sheer brilliance
