How do we know James hasn't been a tit during discussions with Benitez over his future?

People making assumptions and jumping all over the manager same as many did as I mentioned yesterday over Moyes/Drenthe/VDM before months/years later the dirty linen came out the laundry basket.

Until we know the facts of the situation you have to assume the player and manager dont see eye to eye therefore its the managers call to have said player training alone which in the animal kingdom is a show of dominance and makes the rest of the pack fall in line.

Read somewhere that they don’t want them getting injured. Given what happened with Tosun, I understand why.

I suspect James’ wages are a bigger barrier than our fee demands right now. Of course we’d like eg €20m but we’d take anything north of zero if push comes to shove to free up the wages. Obviously the nearer it is to zero the less we can do to replace him.

Been reported that Mendes has told Milan James will take a pay cut to facilitate the Milan move.

Have only seen speculation regarding the fee in recent days.
