If Allan and Doucoure would do their job properly and protect the back 4 then we wouldn't need James to be running back so much.

Allan put in a diabolical performance today and is one of the least disciplined midfield players in the league. I love his commitment but he makes us wide open on the transition.

Allan is truly a CM

We need a real DM and play 433

Barring 2 games that he shouldn't have played because he was hurt, he is consistently creating goal opportunities. When Digne is here, we tend to convert his chances, but he is the last of our problems.

In a club full of average players, he is one of the few shining lights and some people want him out because he is costing the team.

We have some tough games ahead so let's see how it goes during December, I am not very optimistic after watching our last two games...

Allan & Doucoure are getting overrun in midfield because of the system, plus lack of support...

They were much better today in the second half when the system changed & Gomes came into midfield as a 433...
 

Instead of focusing on James’ work rate, focus on his ability on the ball instead. We have players who can sprint more (Iwobi) and players who cover much more ground (Doucoure). However James is by far the most influential footballer in the side. Older fans will recall Glenn Hoddle being hounded because he didn’t track back, yet he was arguably the most gifted footballer of his generation. He ended up going to France where they appreciated his artistry. We need a goalie who can command his area, a defence that can defend, a right back with pace that can overlap and a speedy RW, these are all more pressing concerns to James’ work rate.

I can’t believe the amount of fans with their negativity and knifing the club with comments like “James won’t be here next season” and look at the quality he’s playing with compared to times gone by and “ we don’t deserve him” rubbish
Let me tell you our fans deserve the best. We have been the most unlucky club ever. The list is endless with injustices that has happened against this club. This is what makes us what we are. It makes me love us even more.
I’m a bitter and proud blue and want success as much as anyone else.
I would put it another way James was not wanted by anybody else to my knowledge and he is lucky to be here. I’m glad he’s here and think he’s a great player
For Christ sake we know what our problems are and I reckon Carlo has explained the situation to the players and his plans before the new players were signed.
I do wonder if some of you are real Everton fans at times
I know we’re all cheesed off as we should have more points but get a grip and get behind the club
 

James is worth the entrance money every week, a true match winner, every single week he will show us a piece of magic which is far beyond any player we have had in years. He also gets through more work than he gets credit for. I don’t know why people say ‘you can’t carry him, he is a luxury.’ We carry Iceland every week and he is certainly not in James’ league.

Yes, he is a luxury player. That's his job. When you come to terms with that, you will start to enjoy him more.
