Doesn't bode well that he is still training individually

Need him soon. The team held up valiantly, but we literally have no creativity without him.

Yeah it sounds like he still has a bit to go before being match ready, if he was training individually.

Hopefully they're taking full precaution this time instead of playing him half fit. I'd much rather him fully fit for fewer games, than half fit for the majority. He's unplayable when at full throttle.

Our best player by miles. Until we accept that we must build around him - and not have him accommodate the arthritic mental pygmies of our squad - then we'll forever be content with the plucky, technically mediocre triers who will always come up short in games such as last night's.

You don't ask the Michelin-starred chef to wash the dishes. Now, if we can get multiple gastronomic gurus into our side with him, at that point we might consider asking James to load the dishwasher. It'd be a fabulously appointed dishwasher, mind.

He said it was written into his contract, that he could have a nice little holiday every now and again lol
Dave's ITK knowledge is weirdly specific. He never knows a thing about transfers except that the Niasse transfer had nothing to do with Martinez and doesn't know anything about contracts except from Jimmy's - "holiday clause". It's almost like he's making it up.

If this injury had happened in November, he'd have missed one or two games.

It's happened at a time that we had 4 games in 10 days, and then subsequently another three games in 6 days.

Not exactly ideal for getting him back, as until he trains with the team, then he can't be judged fully. And given we have so many games, I doubt the team are doing much training atm. Today will have been recovery, tomorrow will be tactical work and they'll likely travel to Sheffield boxing day afternoon, potentially with some analysis tomorrow morning.

Then we won't have a training session until, at the earliest, Sunday evening and it will be a very, very light session. Then we play West Ham on the 1st, so we'll hardly have time to train before that.

Yes. But let's just ignore all the sensible and realistic time line of what you've just said mate because he needs to be fit Boxing day.

Get all the physios working overtime Crimbo day if required but get this man in the pitch!

James has not been fully fit at Everton since his arrival...

His injuries reoccurring frequently are a big worry...

We should not rely on this player he will always have fitness problems...

He has great talent but it costs us in other ways...

I know this will not be popular with many fans but it's what I believe...
