It seems home is Liverpool because his family is not currently in Colombia celebrating as they usually do. By looking at their pics in Instagram, his mom and sister are in town instead. This pic was taken just 5 days ago.

It really sucks that James still injured and that he is not able to shine with the team during this busy period. But I wish people stop spreading rumors that are unjustified. He is not partying in Colombia, enjoying some nice warm weather with family and friends. Instead the reality is that he is in Liverpool still recovering from an injury.
The fact that his family are in Liverpool means absolutely nothing.

I don't think anybody suggested he's in Colombia partying. I certainly haven't ever indicated that, rather there's likely more to his injury that has been shared by the club.

No big deal; it's not the first time a club has played down an injury and won't be the last.

The fact that he is in Liverpool means that he is not at home in Colombia, so it does means something.

I wasn't claiming you, or anyone suggested that. It was just a statement because after following James for years he always gets hammered with the same rumor during the Christmas. Specially by the press, they spread rumors that are false but that people sometimes believe as truth.

I actually understand your frustration about Ancelotti not been more forward with his injury. When he first spoke of it he really made it sound like it was nothing but after 3 weeks of the same I do wonder if his injury worsen or if it really has to do with James not been able to properly train yet with the team. Regardless, it would be nice to have him back soon, as long as he is fully recovered.

It's the same thing. Someone tells you something who has no reason to be dishonest and you've decided it is dishonest with no evidence. Same line of thinking.
Not really, because we've evidence that something is amiss here. You don't go from a minor knock where the manager keeps suggesting he's "ready for the next game" to missing up to about 6-8 games. Either it wasn't just a minor knock (knee strain, whatever it was) or it was more serious, or it's got worse since. At this rate he'll end up missing a fifth of the season from this injury.

Something is amiss is not evidence of anything.

He's on less money here than he was on at Real Madrid.

He could have had significantly more "down time" at Real Madrid - he couldn't get a game.

He carried on playing for Everton with a busted testicle.
It’s quite clear that it’s now in his contract that he doesn’t have to play over Christmas.

Nothing to do with age. Or injury history. Or the fact it’s generally when he’s played a large number of games in a row following the start of the season. Or the fact that he’s got a calf strain which is on average 3-5 weeks recovery (he last played 3 weeks ago today).

It’s that Ancelotti is just as bad as brands when it comes to contact negotiating. He’s negotiated a contact which means his best player is unavailable for 20% of first team games.

He didn’t say he had a ‘knock’. He has a calf strain. Sometimes you are lucky and it sorts itself in a week with rest. But if you aren’t lucky it’s on average 3-5 weeks before you return to normal.

Yeah, that's fine. But the manager has come out with about 3 or 4 different return dates, with the latest significantly longer than the previous one where he confidently said he's ready for this game today. From that to missing a further chunk of games is strange. The injury is definitely worse than was let on. It's not a problem, just frustrating when he's by far our best player.

Or, the initial diagnosis was positive. So we let him do more strenuous training which aggravated the injury and so we need to rest him for longer.

he played 3 weeks ago today. It seem a lot longer because of the number of games (8 in 4 weeks).

he’s played on average 25 games a season in his career.

this is to be expected. He’s got a poor injury record. He nearly always has. He’ll miss a few over the Christmas period but we are going ok. We make it to New Year’s Day and then we get a bit of respite. Hopefully by then he’ll be fully recovered and rested.

And yet, if we were to win today, some people would be saying we don't miss him at all (which is patent nonsense, of course). I sometimes wonder if people think a player is only of value if the team collapses in his absence. It's as if James is a luxury if we can win a few games without him, but Richarlison is a must-have because we are over-dependent on what he does. Truth is, we've been playing without Richarlison for most of this season - even if he's been on the pitch. I see it as a good thing if the squad steps up and mitigates the loss of any of these individual players. That's a positive, showing us to be greater than the sum of our parts. Our problem is we cannot afford to miss all four of our best players at once, which is what happened on Wednesday and will happen again today. Win today and the squad is definitely stepping up. I just can't see it, though.

Do you also believe covid was caused by 5G and that covid doesn’t really exist?
