I disagree. You obvioulsy dont appreciate a class player if you think James needs binning. Who would you replace him with?

No matter how classy a player is if the game time is not being put in what good is he to the club. Just getting a lot of weeks picking up wages for what.

It's really disappointing that we can't get him in for just about any of our matches this period when we are up in such tight fixture congestion. Today could have been a great day for him because Sheffield will sit back and he would have a lot of opportunities to get in some killer balls to DCL and whomever else is up top.

He isn’t coming back to be bummed by Man City, he will come back after that game
This is the thing though, City are right there for the taking. I really think we need a thorough clear-out of our medical department and start again, probably need to invest a lot of money to get better equipment and rehab facilities available for the players to aid their recovery. We have a long history of terrible injuries and injuries getting worse through setbacks during rehab. It's gone on through many managers and seems to be deeply ingrained at the club.

At what we paid and are paying, if you were told up front that you only get him for 60% of the matches you pay it gladly.
It IS a shame tho, especially when theres a (ever so small, i mean tiny) chance that we would never have any supporters able to see him live. Makes you wonder how he gets these little niggles that keeps him out for weeks when he doesn't really put in a massive shift every match (and that's ok, he doesn't need to obviously).

It is, but he's not been able to train with the group and a big part of that will have been the fact that the very few training sessions the team will have had will have been about preparing for the game the next day.

I reckon we've genuinely had one 'full' training session this week – Monday. If he'd have been fit to take part in that, he'd probably have been available. He clearly wasn't, so there's just no time to get him back with the group and judge if he's ready.

Just have to hope he's back for the West Ham game.

Hmm, it's a slight strain. A slight strain is usually 2 weeks (so normally 2, max 3 games)

As it stands, he's missed 3 (well, he did it 3 weeks ago), but he's actually been back working individually for over half of that time.

It's come at a dismal time for us when we happen to have had 5 games in those 3 weeks (well, 5 games in 14 days). Due to the scheduling, just hasn't had time to get in and have a full training session or two under his belt.

Some guys are just fragile. See: Iniesta, Aguero.

If you can figure out how to predict it at age 21, or better yet how to fix it, there's a fortune to be made in sports science.

Got to laugh at the Bro Science in here.

Same people would be whinging their heads off if he played and his “ slight injury “ became a “ big injury “

I mean it’s not like all the staff at the club with degrees in sports medicine and sports science know what they’re doing is it ??

Never change.
Are these the same guys who sent Bolasie back onto the field when he injured his knee, only to see him get a much, much more serious injury after being urged to play on? Can't be, cos they've got degrees and all that.
