He's almost won the last two games in the FA Cup off his own boot.

If he wasn't thinking it already. Gilfy must be thinking he wants a move. Playing in the same side as James badly shows him up. He was bought (for 50 million) to be a slick passer and a dead ball specialist. James was pinging all manner of completed sexy passes all over the shop, hes corners where accurate to perfection. Gilfy hitting passes to soft or hard losing many. Corners from the left side where atrocious by comparison. Almost pity him. The embarrassment of it.

Yep. Put those two balls in against any team and your going to create opportunities. Those 2 corners were at pace, inswinging and right in between 4-8 yards from goal which is where all the chaos happens.

Gylfi actually put in a couple of similar deliveries from the other side for a change. He didn't put his usually crap floated ball in but hit it in with pace, inswinging and hit a couple of good spots. It looked to me a change of tactic and that he'd been told to change his technique.

So I was thinking the same thing watching the game. Gylfi appears 'technically' capable putting in 'good' crosses. But they're half a yard off, or hitting a defender in front of a player. So even though he looks sound, the end product isn't as good so he has some ways to go. James literally put in two perfect corners in a row. It's not a fluke, he probably practices crossing into a basketball ring.

Also the other thing is Gylfi has come good in the last month or so since the start of this run. Carlo has turned him into a player that works hard, and less reliant on him being the only one that creates. He's just not as good a creator, so his job is the build up play in possession and running around harassing the opponent. I honestly think its a bit of a lie that he was sold to fans as a creative 10, he hasn't shown it in his time here (and if he did sparingly once in a while), and same at Tottenham. There was no one better at Swansea, so he racked up 10+ assists a season and everyone played around him.

This might sound a bit odd. But when I used to play PES and I'd be much better than friends, to make the game competitive I'd play without using sprint. He just reminds me a bit of that. A player who's so much better than opponents he doesn't have to break into a sprint.
