Will be interesting to see if his fitness record improves next season after having a proper (although probably tailored to him) pre-season. Conditioning is a big thing and missing out on a pre-season will impact that.

Don’t be upset / annoyed anybody.
We should all be grateful he graces our medical room.
Know your place and don’t be expecting players to put in a whole season.

Shame, really is annoying though that when we look like we can progress we always find a way of ballsing it up somehow.

He's very much a bonus nice-to-have that you play when he's "fit". You then need a proper alternative to play all the other games. This needs to be a priority in the summer as we currently don't have any back-ups at all.

We need to just assume James is always going to be injured and sign someone to play his position as if James doesn't play for us at all, so we're not relying on an unreliable player. Our reliance on him has cost us this season.

It's looking like James is around a 20 game a season player, when "100%", if that. Half of the appearances this season have apparently been him at "below 100%".

Don't think he was 100% fit even at start of the season, due to no pre-season and no games under Zidane. And if that wasn't bad enough, VVD sent his nutsack to the surgery.

If he's had a persistent calf problem for a while now you would've thought he would have had some surgery or at least some treatment sorted out by now to help correct it?

Why does it matter? He's injured and unavailable for the next two games, that's all you really need to know. He mentioned he's had a calf problem, I don't expect him to read his medical report card out in a presser.
No but when someone ends up missing 5 games with what is initially described as a very small problem, people are always going to ask questions.

He's a luxury. We knew when we signed him that he was coming with some injury struggles.

When he plays he puts in a quality performance 8 times out of 10. He just might only play 10 of every 20 matches.

When he plays he improves us and he has done wonders increasing the profile of the club in South America. I would imagine how many games he manages next year will go a long way to determining whether we take up the extension.
