If that's the case he was on over £11M at Madrid.
Add that to his salary here is over £7M.
I dont think the word "free" has much place in describing how much this player cost Everton.
Hey, well done, I didn’t think you were capable of that sort of irony.Stop derailing the thread.
I’m gonna go with Colxmbia from this point on to show respect for all spellings. And my Colxmbian friends.
We finished 10th mate. That pass alone in the Derby was worth £7m.
The argument is about whether he's taking the proverbial urine, not about his quality. Clearly he's the best footballer at the club by a country mile, but are the downsides worth it?
I'd have said yes a month or so ago. But now, after what's played out and Ancelottis comments about poor attitudes, I'm not so sure.
We finished 10th mate.
That's the difference he made.
And we've had the absolute maximum out of him in terms of games played. Ild expect less games on the pitch next season.
I thought we paid the player his final (?) year salary instead of RM.
So technically a free, but then, not actually for nothing.
Either way, he is magic.
It seems to me that Rodriguez didn’t think, in his head, that he was fit to play for Everton in the last few weeks he was here, but a week later, home in Colombia, he thought, in his head, he was fit enough to play for his country. I don’t think he was telling lies, but it looks like he wanted to play for his country more than the club who pays his wages, and I understand he has a big affinity to his country but hardly any to Everton, that doesn’t seem right to me.
He probably only found out what an Everton was 12 months ago tbfIt looks like all he was thinking about was being fit for Colombia mate and if that meant not playing for us because he wasn’t 100% fit then it was a case of so be it. To me me it looks like a case of country before club.
