Surely James has been 'left' at other clubs when Carlo has departed before? although I cannot see him working with Howe or Dyche... maybe NES. He might enjoy working with some of the 'Brands' candidates.

He sure has. Actually it has been a pattern. At Madrid and Bayern Ancelotti got fired the second year after James got signed. And here at Everton, well we know what just happened. I really don't see James staying if Benitez is chosen as a manager though. He and James didn't have a very good relationship after he replaced Ancelotti at Madrid.
