That’s good to hear, although some fans here seem delighted to have him coaching us next. I really would rather Benitez not being the manager though. I don’t like his tactics and I really don’t seem him as a good fit for Everton.A lot of us fans will struggle to stay if Benitez comes in too! Ex RS who plays horrible football - no thanks.
Get an attack minded coach, buy a couple of pacey wingers and let James feed them!
Not much chance of it, but I’d love him to stay next season. A joy to watch.
Quite a lot of the people saying things about Benitez and a few other bad shouts seem to have accounts that haven’t posted very much and a lot of them have only recently signed up... make of that what you will. That’s good to hear, although some fans here seem delighted to have him coaching us next. I think we need either another big name who we will give loads of money to spend or an ambitious attack minded coach who will try and unearth a few gems with brands and build up a fresh team
To be honest, I had an initial thought of having Benitez, for no other reason that he would be the biggest name of the safe options we had been linked with. I thought with his reputation and achievements in the game, he would be more of a statement signing than Moyes, Nuno, Howe, Potter, or any of the other flavour of the month names that have been linked. He would carry a certain amount of clout without being so big a name that we would constantly be worrying about the motives for taking the job in the 1st place.Quite a lot of the people saying things about Benitez and a few other bad shouts seem to have accounts that haven’t posted very much and a lot of them have only recently signed up... make of that what you will.

Hopefully it won't be Benitez. That's my vote lolQuite a lot of the people saying things about Benitez and a few other bad shouts seem to have accounts that haven’t posted very much and a lot of them have only recently signed up... make of that what you will.

Both represent dead ends.Benitez is a step in the wrong direction
espíritu for me
His team tried to play actual football and move the ball around
If he goes then we need to get a fee for him which if its the MLS would be a best case of $10-15mil.
Then we would need to replace him...how do you do that?
With Ancelotti's buyout and James' fee youre probably looking at £20mil in the transfer 'warchest'.
If he stays and plays 25 league games next season with the added incentive of having to perform for someone other than Ancelotti and proving that Colombia were wrong not to select him then we could really reap the benefits.
Just need to build the first 11 without him in mind and when hes fit then he brings the stardust.
