Yes, don't misunderstand me, he was very good but the press elevated him to world football genius level.Maybe it’s just me, but I would love to have Beckham playing for Everton. He was a winner and we definitely need more of those.

Ha, I’ve been asked this before and the answer hasn’t changed but I will be glad to share again with you @Furey1878
I’m sticking with the Toffees even after James and Mina depart. Ever since I began following the club I’ve become very fond of the club’s history, the fans and this forum so I’m sticking around. Once a Blue always a Blue
I’m actually going to Orlando next month to watch Everton play at the Florida Cup.

….is there compensation for Ancelotti? I was under the impression a clause in his contract meant he could leave for free to join Real.
We didn't get a big compo package for Carlo
We'll just have to see what happens won't we, Zat.
No point thinking about anything other than the manager now, ultimately.
Depending what happens with Kane, I wouldn't be surprised to see bids come in for Dom this summer either.. Said it before but in my mind he's a 30-goal a season striker for City with the chances they create.
….I can see City being interested because he could provide something they were clearly missing in CL final. Saying that, the likes of Aguero & Jesus are clever goalscorers. DCL isn’t that type.
DCL will get on the end of crosses but I’d see him being very much a rotation player at City, particularly being used in games against well disciplined, tight defences. Looking at Chelsea in that final, I also think DCL would’ve been effective for them.
He will leave for free. It's in his contract.

Thanks, mate! I been having a ball already. Even if Everton didn’t do as well this season as we had hope, seeing them on top of the table at the beginning was very exciting and something to continue dreaming about. Hopefully we can get a good manager that will help us reshape our team so we can really achieve an European spot next season!Ahhhh mate that's brilliant, hope you have an absolute ball!
Good to know you're sticking around, we always need more optimists here !
Thanks! I’m really hoping I can make it to Goodison next year. I have no doubt the new stadium is going to be lovely but I would like to experience the glory of Goodison first.Top blue. Make sure you at least get over for here for game at Goodison. Although that may take some time.
We only won 19 points from his last 19 appearances.
He finished the season with just 1 open play assist.

Oh there is plenty to it, but it isn't a coincidence that he faded after just 5 matches.I did notice this over the second half of the season. It is a fact that our results were much poorer when he started.
But correlation does not equal causation. There could be, and probably is, a lot more to it.
Gylfi has scored in 2 derbies & created a hilarious amount of chances. Remember when we lost to them in the FA Cup? 3 big chances in just 60 minutes..True but it was the one that helped us beat the RS so it's worth 10 times any Sigurdsson assist.

The physicality of the league along with his one footedness & injury proneness all resulted in his poor performances.

Refer to Jazzy who brought him up, not me.Genuinely, why are you so obsessed with Gylfi Sigurdsson? What's it all about? Do you bang on about him constantly in real life as well?
^True but it was the one that helped us beat the RS so it's worth 10 times any Sigurdsson assist.
James finished the season with 1 open play assist vs PL teams, 7 points won & we didn't win a home match with James since OCTOBER.Please please please don’t start comparing Sigurdsson and Rodriguez.
Seriously mate just give it up. You’re a grown man worshipping another man who literally just kicks a ball about at that. Where’s your self respect?Refer to Jazzy who brought him up, not me.

We only won 19 points from his last 19 appearances.
Meanwhile Sigurdsson finished with more goals, more assists, more key passes, 7x more open play assists vs PL teams & 3.25x more points won.
We're 17th without his 22 points. James doesn't even have a better left foot than Sigurdsson.
