So many football fans seem incapable of seeing the apparently invisible football skill - speed of thought. Because of having a brain and vision, knowing where you're going to play the ball before you receive it. To my eyes even managers struggle with this.
It sure is a quality that no all footballers have but James does and it is great at such skill so while he may not be super quick with his feet, his quick thinking is something I can indulge over.

It is not very wise to use low body fat as the only predictor of athletic fitness. There are far better predictors. There are many of these images on social media, but not many of them are particularly athletic. The club has fairly accurate statistics on the relevant metrics, and probably has a pretty good overview. Should it be the case that he is in very good shape, and injury-free, but does not bother to run, sprint and cover the necessary rooms on the field, then he has an extremely bad attitude.
Perhaps, but I have not seen the club reporting he is being let go because of his fitness level, have you? It is all about money.

If we dont sign Diaz and keep James, then he should be involved as the asset he is. Its 1 thing if we were able to move him on and enable us to get 2 or 3 more signings in his place, but that is not happening. I still believe Diaz interest was in the event of Richarlison leaving, and the inclusion of James in the deal was a clever way of bringing down the fee for us, freeing up some of his wages, and trying to entice Porto with a top drawer replacement for their star player into the bargain.

But seen as its not happening, that means we keep Richarlison and James. We should be pleased. Imagine the scenario if we didn't have him last year and we were getting him on a free this year, everyone would be made up.

SO what is it, 90k, 150k, 200K per week. You lads really need to contact our financial department and get that figure straight.

I suppose the actual figure doesn't really matter. Getting paid £90k or £200k per week should be enough cause for 'motivation;'. I like him and would be made up if he stays and actually plays, but cannot see that happening for various reasons.

I actually love Mina more :p

The reason why he is not in the NT is because he pissed the manager off with all his non sense talk (and that I will concede that one of James' issues may be his big mouth and arrogance) I do believe James at times has an attitude issue but that has nothing to do with his football abilities. He is has been asset to his team and has always contribute

Ancelotti is not the only manager he has played for. As a matter of fact, James hasn't play for Don Carlo for more than a season because he either gets fired or departs. James had actually done very well under other managers, one of them Jupp Heynckes and he wasn't indulging him but was a teacher and a mentor and James improved under him. SO it is part of the manager's job to help develop players into the best version of themselves. Benitez could try to do that if James is staying. No indulge him but help him improve himself to the best version of the system Benitez wants to implement here at Everton.
Asset? Where do you see an asset?. Nobody wants him that doesnt bother you?

Our current manager won't use him much this season (rightly or wrongly), so it's in no one's interest for him to stay if he wants to play football.

I have major concerns about James lack of mobility and availability in this league. We certainly couldn't set up like we did on Saturday if he started because he can't take on defenders like Gray and he can't help out the full back like Townsend. And it's absolutely not a Benitez v James thing, because I'm not on either team! There's just a lot of romanticism in this thread because we have a player capable of moments of sheer brilliance. But in the round, I'm not sure he is what we need.
TBH as much as I like having James in the squad given all the negativity and strong feelings that Benitez has against James, along with some of the fan base, I also think it would be best if he departed but if he stays then it would be absurd not making use of him during some matches.

Easily to best footballer the club has had in 30+ years but Benitez is acting like a little bitch. There's only one person that needs shifting.
Haha amazing. The lad spent half the season injured. Didn’t want to play end of season and then has been rude about the club. Get rid of him.
As for RB - he’s unbeaten this season and playing decent stuff. Get off his back
