Well in that case we should miss him horrendously and finish way further down the table.
We will miss him terribly. One win against a shocking Southampton isn’t changing my mind on that.

Re your first point, I guess we will just have to wait and see if he is successful there or not before making any assessments. He offers something different to what they have, but it also could be seen as a very good commercial deal for Atletico than a football one.For one mate, please, stop saying 'Athletico' - it makes you seem stupid. It isn't a word.
If he does go to Atletico, surely the shouts that he's some lazy diva with an attitude would be proved wrong, unless Simeone - who wanted him a few years back - has got it absolutely wrong?
We will miss James Rodriguez because our current options are nowhere near his quality and neither are the players we want to bring in (or would be able to) to replace him.
It won't be the end of the world. It'd be a massive shame that we couldn't find the best way to use him for the last year of his deal. And the main issue is the reason we have to ship him out is because our DoF has failed in one of the main jobs he was tasked with back in 2018, which was to shift out huge earners who contribute nothing.
We will miss him terribly. One win against a shocking Southampton isn’t changing my mind on that.
He deffo wouldn’t be happy to stay. He utterly hates the Premier League. Imo he would’ve left even if Ancelotti stayed, him leaving just rubber stamped it.
Lets see then. I saw a 0% step up in the quality of our play when he played last season. We were as gash with him as we were without him.
Well then you’re blind to what he did and can do but that’s okay, can’t all see it.
This is my issue tbh.Re your first point, I guess we will just have to wait and see if he is successful there or not before making any assessments. He offers something different to what they have, but it also could be seen as a very good commercial deal for Atletico than a football one.
Yes it’s a shame he is going, but I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.
I don't think he wants to be here. He had his agent touting him around as soon as Ancelotti left and I've asked several times (because i don't do things like Insta or Twitch), has he actually congratulated his team mates for winning the opening day fixture? has said anything about a packed Goodison or having fans back? He doesn't care! He'd stay I'm sure, up till now he's been earning a small fortune and been allowed to call his own shots so if he can't find a similar deal else why would he leave but he's not fighting for his Everton future and he's doesn't give a damn about the club. His recent statements about how he only came here for Carlo and how we aren't a great club basically say that.I don't think Benitez has chased him out of the club. I think Benitez would use him if he stayed. I think James is happy to go but probably also happy to stay and play out the last year of his deal if no offer came in.
We - the club - want his wages off the books. That'd be fine by me if he contributed nothing, but he doesn't, he's our most creative player by far and as I proved with the numbers last week was more creative than all of our current options, plus our priority attacking target, pretty much combined last season.
We will miss him terribly. One win against a shocking Southampton isn’t changing my mind on that.
Having now seen him up close for a season, I don't think he's actually that good - certainly not one world's best that we had all hoped he was.
For every incredible pass, there are 5 shockers. They're practically Ross Barkley numbers. His favourite pass is that crossfield switch to Lucas Digne, even if it makes absolutely no sense. He plays for himself (as he has always done) not for the team.
While he's obviously the most naturally talented player at the club, the level of indulgence he was given by Ancelotti last year was as nauseating as it was undeserved. No wonder he wants to leg it when the new manager stops the preferential treatment.
I await the legion of fanboys response.
