There won't be any big spends next summer if you actually look at our finances properly, yes a few more off the wages bill but if you are expecting a big spend then don't mate. Any cash injection will be for the stadium not for players, the only way is going to be sell a Richy or DCL first.

Depends if you think the lack of funds is down to FFP/profit and loss or the owner being unwilling to spend.

Im firmly in the former camp and with FFP changing next season from profit and loss to the salary/luxury cap meaning our losses wont matter providing the wage book is more in order + a potential Richarlison sale I'll be shocked if we dont spend a wad next summer tbh.

Phase 2 of the stadium is also covered by a private loan / the naming rights deal Moshiri is only funding the ground work (phase 1) which is expected to be finished come end of the year.

Would personally keep Rodriguez until January where we can at least bring in a replacement but I wouldn't say we were desperate mate.

Benitez's job this season based on a £1.5m spend is to guarantee PL survival - if he does that it's mission complete until we can invest/spend next summer.

I think the manager will have us in the top 10 with or without James providing we get fortunate with injuries.
Oh mate, why do you keep giving me the finger?

Especially when you see the hard work that I put into creating the MEGA campaign for you and Milf and co :(

James will bring us back together x

This has been confirmed and announced ?
Who's the lender then ?

Yeah but the issue is with these changes is that the numbers being talked about at the moment with future FFP changes (70% of turnover) mean that we would still be in very serious trouble regardless of any of the stuff you have mentioned. Have to just wait and see, as none of us really know tbh.

I cannot find any confirmation of either of your assertions, please post links for verification! TY.

He's getting paid 200 grand a week...A WEEK to play games on Twitch. Queg
Well he isn't really is he or do you count your spare time as being at work as well. They are footballers they are still people with lives you know they aren't at your beck and call as much as you seem to think they are. Signing for Everton doesn't mean signing all your life away as well.

Well our turnover on wages is arohnd 78% last season but thats including the following now out of contract/due to be out of contract:

Bolasie £70-80k
Benard £120k+
Walcott £100k
Kean: 60k
Besic £40k
Pennington £30k

Next June:

James £140k+
Tosun £80k
Siggurdsson £100k
Delph £80k
Kenny £20k?
Gibson???

A lot off the books even with Gray/Rondon/Townsend coming on board and our turnover will increase with the naming rights deal as well for the stadium once that gets sorted out.

Wages wise we'll look much better in 12 months time which has come in good timing really with the FFP changes. Even if profit and loss stayed and FFP wasnt to change realistically Richarlison will be off for £80+ million somewhere if we dont get CL football and would pretty much wipe the slate clean on top of the profit we'll likely post this seasons accounts after the £1.5m spend.

Like James.

And having these top-tier players also get you European success.
Personally, I agree with that james is x-factor. I love watching him play.
there are stages of development we need to hit.
1 - qualify for uefa Europe. We need committed squad capable of producing consistency and difficult to beat. More signings like “Godfrey”
2 - adding some quality and having a decent uefa cup run. Qualifying Europe again.
3 - decent uefa cup run and potentially challenge the top four. Need to be looking a up and coming world names at this stage - signing like lukaku and richarlison.
4 - now we have built some pedigree and a solid squad - we need the x-factor signings like james Rodriguez.

we need to offer enough to x-factor signings to be committed and interested. And then means quality in the squad, sustainable progression.
Let’s face it james and Coleman on the right would be tageted by every team we face.

Whose fault is that? His or the manager that's not playing him?

And you're one of the £200k a week brigade are you. Did you believe it when it was £90k a week when he first signed?

I have always thought his wages would be in the region of 200k a week. That’s what he was being paid at Madrid and we got him on a free. He wasn’t going to cut his wages in half just to come to Everton. I don’t remember it being reported that he was only on 90k a week tbh.
