Lets be honest, he was never going to be staying with us once Carlo went anyway and if we can get a decent player in return for him as part of a deal then that is fine with me. Just wish he had played in front of a full Goodison before leaving to experience it.

Refusing to give up a penny of earnings, so Everton will have to shoulder the excess costs to make this deal happen. Any ideas what James is actually on p/w? I've seen 90k, 140k and 200k mentioned before..

Why should he ? He’s signed a contract that guarantees him a certain amount and the current manager doesn’t want him so we’re shifting him . Unfortunately I’d suggest it’s on us to make the finances work for him .
 
Don’t ruin this for us James. I suspect we will supplement his wages to a point to get this one over the line, but what that point is I’m unsure. If he’s genuinely on £200k p/w we’d have to pay half of that minimum to get him to leave. Glad he’s only on a 2 year deal, smart from Brands it has to be said.
