On a more serious note, this is a decent signing considering he's free.

A good solid premier league proven defender.
Should bring a bit of calm to our defense which seems to get very easily rattled.

The main reason SAF bought Bruce from Norwich was his appearance record for them. I know times have changed, but not the ability to be available to play.
