I think the lack of crowd in most matches helped Keane in particular.
I think so to mate, not to get at the lad, but like Pickford ive always felt Keanes issues were psychological as opposed to ability.

I'm not sure. I just know for example the sitting really deep on free kicks style of defending is inarguably a zonal system. So maybe it was man to man on corners but that's not how I remember it.Didn't we ned up calling the whole pitch a zone the last time we disagreed on this. lol
If you want to get upset about people making errors in friendly matches go crazy. Dele missed an open goal last week, scored one this week - both were meaningless as is everything until the league starts and I’m sure the team will work on any shortcomings identified during the games. So yes

I'm not slating him for it. It's just interesting to me that basically no one wants to acknowledge it happened. And apparently quite a few are willing to get really revved up when someone does.If you want to get upset about people making errors in friendly matches go crazy. I’m actually glad things go wrong in friendly matches, it gives them a chance to be identified and fixed before it matters.
It is though. We defended those set pieces by dropping two lines of four players really deep. That's a zonal system. It just is. I don't know what else to say.Inarguably - you tease! lol
I’m not getting ‘revved up’, I’ve been consistently telling people not to get worked up one way or the other about friendly matches. The Dele thread was a joke after the American friendlies with people writing him off completely because of a meaningless kickabout.I'm not slating him for it. It's just exactly what we did with Godfrey is all. And probably others before. You still see posts like "why can't Godfrey be like the first season" when he's actually never changed.
He can pick a pass when given enough time to fix a snack and get a drink first. But this is also true of Keane and to some extent Mina. Under pressure I don't see much of an upgrade at playing out. Which we should just stop doing because we can't.I’m not getting ‘revved up’, I’ve been consistently telling people not to get worked up one way or the other about friendly matches. What I saw overall from Tarkowski is what we already knew, he’s a good defender. What I learned more about is that he can pick a pass far more than playing Burnley’s system previously allowed. It was an encouraging friendly performance with the normal pre-season rust present.
3 own goals in 218 premier league games. A ratio that's between 66 and 300% worse than comparable players, but hardly a "weekly basis"
He's obviously not the best mate but this is just miles over the topPresume this doesn’t count for all the times he’s ballooned it off his own player in the penalty area and it’s dropped to the striker to bang in, all the times he’s tried to bring the ball out and fallen over it or given it away and it’s led to a goal, all the pass backs that have been intercepted, all the times he’s ducked under a ball with his eyes shut and we’ve conceded, or when he’s barged into our own player and left the opposition to score.
All of these I would count as putting it into his own net

I feel confident his next club will be in the PLHe’s the worst CB in the PL by a distance. He shouldn’t be playing premier league football.
