From what I have seen of him he has bottle, doesnt pull out of a 50/50 tackle, puts his body in the way of blammo’s. That immediately makes him much, much better that 50% of the current squad.

He's quality imo and I hope we get him. The concerns about signing a player from a relegated club are stupid. Jagielka was signed from a relegated Sheffield United. I think Manchester United signed Roy Keane from a relegated Forest.

Bit sceptical of the stories leaking out that we’ve offered x amount in wages, the club would have no interest in leaking that until the deal is done so is it just his agent trying to get other clubs to up their bids?
