He stops short of the stupid forehead pushing competition. Wasn’t frightened of scything down Richy at Goodison either. Nice family guy but clearly likes a bit of afters. Started the season well, had a few wobbles in the middle, but he finished the season really really strong with Mina.
He was brought in as a “leader” by Lampard, and certainly must look after himself properly and set a great example round FF, but in terms of captaincy I’ve never really seen him screaming at one of ours when they’ve switched off (I’m thinking Holgate). Lots of little discussions and pointing etc. Prefers a little smile and a look to heavens when the defence cocks up.
Pickford’s the more shouty but if he is anything like keepers I know, it’s mostly confusing bollox.
Mind you Kane doesn’t scream and shout and just leads by example, and he’s the media’s Captain Fantastic. No reason Tarks can’t do the same.

He was good, but he can be better and while I see good attributes, I personally wouldn't make him captain. I want him to focus on improving. His passing in particular is terrible and yes, that does matter.
