As others have said he seems to be carrying an injury niggle, seems a bit out of sorts. Hopefully just a blip, cant help worry that similer happened with Williams who was okay the first season and Distin to an extent, they seemed to deteriorate at a fast rate. Hopefully im way off the mark here and will look suitably silly when hes voted player of the month for his performaces in the rest of October, November and December.

Needs to spend more time concentrating on actually defending instead of trying to nail opposition players at every opportunity to boost his fragile ego.

He got a foul late in the second half just in front of the away end after Pawson judged Joelinton to have fouled him; it was never a foul. The moron tried to smash into Joelinton only to mistime it completely and fall on his arse. Got away with one massively there because there was no one behind him to cover.

When he's next to Jarrad he's brilliant and incredibly reliable, no doubt about it. But whenever Jarrad is absent he seems to fall o pieces and the responsibility I believe gets to him. I don't like him as captain either, he doesn't seem to handle the captaincy very well either for me. Not sure who could take it off of him though apart from Pickford.

Think we are seeing that he needs Branthwaite alongside him. He's been a good signing for us, especially on a free, but there is a reason he has only ever played for relegation to mid-table sides.

See he’s confirmed that he’s having to manage an injury to his back. Doing less training between games. Not surprised, he looks like he’s carrying a niggle, has just looked a little sluggish/slower than last couple seasons. Rest during international break will do him good.

Him and Myko both this season. Think people under appreciate how hard it is playing through injury. Even with injuries they are better options than what’s left though but it hasn’t half caused us issues.

….i assume you’re suggesting Dyche should’ve gone with O’Brien/Keane? He must think an 80% fit Tarkowski is more valuable to the team than introducing O’Brien to play alongside Keane. It won’t be anything to do with stubbornness, it’ll be all about his judgement.
