2024/25 James Tarkowski

Big fan but there's errors in his game this season so slowly creeping into weak link category.

Incredible stat though that he's still to miss a prem game since signing. Given the endless injury issues with Mina he's that durable CB that was desperately needed.

He should do way better for their goal.I hate the way players do what he did, just stick his backleg out instead of attempting the tackle.if he doesnt win the tackle so be it, but try. He may have played with a injury, he may be playing with it,who knows. but i think thats the big excuse as to why he's not been good.

….i’d be more concerned if his poor form continues when Branthwaite returns. I think Branthwaite improves the defenders around him.
Right, hes an older CB who is currently being asked to A. Constantly defend. B. Defend out in space more often without the younger Branthwaite.

An older CB like him is best closer to the center while the younger faster CB cuts plays out, but hes being played out of position because Keane is unable to. Hes being asked to be a great defender when his back line mates are Young, Keane and Myko.

Just got to watch he doesn’t focus on that record at the expense of underperforming due to his niggles

I think he's just one that will always want to get out and play if it isn't broken bones.

Right at the end of his time at Burnley he went off in a game with 2-3 weeks of the season left and probably in most cases that would've been season over. Came back and started the final two games to try to keep Burnley up. Also did it being OOC so no guarantee this club would've signed him if he'd picked up a long term injury doing that.

His level has generally dipped in recent times and given Keane's improved form we can't blame it all on his defensive partner for once.
