Might be carrying a knock as well but definitely not as steady as last season up to now100%. Looks so leggy and just not sharp at all in all areas.
Should have buried that header as well from the corner

Lot of noise about Dyche slow starts and strong finish. Maybe victim of harsh training regime pre season.Tarkowski seems to hate playing in August. Looking at last year's JT thread he was getting regularly slated for his performances until late September, when he started putting in MotM performances. Here's hoping for a repeat of history (though I'm sure we'd all prefer he start playing at the start of the season rather than 5 games in).
But you’re putting yourself under a lot of pressure doing that every year and maybe that was the reason Burnley eventually went down, because it must be hard to keep trying to get out the bottom 3. Have a good start like we’ve seen in the past, with Moyes and Martinez, keeps you out of trouble, gives you momentum and confidence and gets the fans on board as wellLot of noise about Dyche slow starts and strong finish. Bottom half is fine. I'm not convinved you could even say that about Coleman, Keane and Mykolenko.Everyone had a meltdown in the summer when I suggested he was a bottom half centre back. Despite that being where he’s spent his entire career
It's the usual knee jerk reaction from a section of the fanbase. Now now, let’s not turn on our most consistent and committed player. He was injured not so long ago and I’ve no doubt he’s rushed himself back.
He’s a brilliant defender.
When it's this top level of football, carrying the slightest of knocks affects a game that's all down to percentages. I think he's been poor, but there's far worse in the back line, in the injury free group. Now now, let’s not turn on our most consistent and committed player. After spending 20m on O`Brien I`d have thought the plan would be to play Branthwaite with O`Brien at CB and moving Tarks to being 3rd choice. But then again we have form for spending money on players just to sit on the bench (Beto, Chermiti). It's the usual knee jerk reaction from a section of the fanbase.
It's 3 games in and he's next to Michael Keane. When he's next to Branthwaite i'm sure he will be very solid again.
If he's still poor with half a season gone and when Branthwaite is alongside him then criticism will be justified.
I'm not sure anyone thought he would replace Tarks, it's quite disappointing to see him at 4th choice thoughAfter spending 20m on O`Brien I`d have thought the plan would be to play Branthwaite with O`Brien at CB and moving Tarks to being 3rd choice.
