2024/25 James Tarkowski

Tarkowski has done this three or four occasions this season,he can be really reckless at times, Bournemouth cup game his head had gone, done well for us but if this is "New Everton"should take a back seat behind either O'Brien or a new centre back next season in my humble opinion.

Is it any worse than what VVD got away with on Onana?

It wasn't any worse. The difference is all the hand-wringing and cry arsing that's still going on. Tarkowski actually did a similar challenge on Richarlison for Burnley and it was immediately forgotten.

We might have got away with one but it's getting the same level of exposure as Trumps Tarriffs.

It’s like the death of Virgil all over again with the media carry on.

We possibly got away with one.

Ok. Now let’s talk about Diaz being offside and interfering with play, all the none second yellows, thuggish tackles and soft penalties that have gone in their favour this season.

I’ll wait….
Exactly this , watching the tackle on tv it looks as if he’s got away with that . We might not like it but in 2025 you’re doing well not to get a red there .

However the media , from half time to now it seems are acting like he’s hit him with a bat . No mention nor explanation of how that offside goal was allowed to stand , it’s barely been mentioned . Which would in other circumstances be incredible but in reality it’s par for the course .

The only decisions that get any scrutiny are the ones that go against the ‘top 6’ . It drives me mad that the media at the time lost their minds over the Rodri handball and it’s still discussed to this day . Now I’m not angry that they thought it was a bad decision , I’m angry because every other one that’s gone against us don’t get a mention . Why ? Because it doesn’t impact the title race . We all now how many times were on the wrong end of things and it’s like it never happened .

Yesterday and the reaction to those two decisions tells you all you need to know about refereeing in this country .

Anyone who’s played football at any level knows that’s how you can leave one in on someone & in the PL that’s a red.

If MacAllister is nowhere near the ball then there’s no reason a normal tackle ends up that high on his leg unless he’s followed through.

I’m not arsed about MacAllister but Tarkowski is a lucky, lucky boy. If it was the other way round people would be fuming aswell,
I could see exactly what was going to happen even before he got near the Liverpool player, he was lining himself up for it.
