Everton are set to swoop for Marseille striker Andre Ayew.

The Ghana international is a free agent at the end of the season.

That means Everton can sign him on a pre-contract agreement when the winter transfer window opens next month which would see him join in the summer. just read this, don,t know if already posted.
Looked good during the World Cup. His name would be perfect for an adaptation of Outcast's Hey Ya too. So it's a yes from me.

With our lack of wingers he would be certain to be starting every game. I can believe the "talk" is coming from his end.

Plus from Barca's perspective it does make sense. Why keep him when Enrique doesn't seem to favour him and more loans will just lower his value like Bojan.

If in a few years if he reaches the potential of Barca - It's not like they wouldn't be able to buy him back.

if he cant get time in sevilla...barca wont be happy and propably are a bit concerned.
1) he aint developing in sevilla like he was in everton, totally wasted year.
2) if he aint good enough for sevillas XI he might never be good enough for barcelona.

to avoid the situation where no one is happy they might just let him go and we might very well be the destination.

Seeing as we have:

Stones / Besic / Barkley / Lukaku all hovering around 21 and McCarthy slightly older then a gap of a few years below them I would love to see

Deulofeu return to the fold
Butland or similar age/potential

Gives us 7 very interesting young players in the first team.

Exactly. Obviously it will depend on how Deulofeu feels and Barca might want to give him more time but I think it's worth a shot.

This is the right way to go. Very similar to how Kendall built the Everton side of the mid 80's. Got some fantastic young players in and then moulded them into winners.

I think Martinez has a similar idea, but whether he can mould them is still up for debate

I'm not sure Martinez will go for him, he came out and said exactly what we all thought when he went back " I think Gerard needs to realise that the game still goes on after you have been tackled". He is what we need at the minute with pace to stretch the opposition defence, but just adds to list of luxury players we have that all want to get forward and offer nothing the other way.
When was that quote? I seem to remember it but can't find it.

Who knows. He certainly didn't trust him enough in the bigger games but I think Martinez recognizes his talent. The other thing was when he came first he was the "next Messi" - his scoring record at youth level was brilliant and he had just been voted the best player in the 2nd division.

If he was a Balotelli character I would say we would be best to stay well away but he's not. He's someone that could be managed into a more complete player.

Think this was the source

Deulofeu needs to learn that the game continues when he loses the ball as Roberto told him dozens of times. Emery will be tough with him
