Yea you're right. I remember it now.

Ironically it was a piece on how Martinez would be the best manager for him this season. I wouldn't see it as a negative.
Some players respond better to different styles of management and the tough love approach of Enrique and Emery doesn't seem to have worked for Geri, at least so far this season. One Barca watcher I follow said "@RafaelH117: Deulofeu need a coach that’s willing to give him attention, or he’s lost."

Deulofeu certainly said lots of complimentary things about martinez in his interviews, even if it doesn't get him back here hopefully might make someone like Adama Traore keen on a loan move.

Pretty sure this is called the January 2015 Transfer Window' thread. I'd like to see Ayew and Delboy, but it won't be before the Summer, if at all.

How we're playing at the moment, I worry that January may be slightly too late for our European ambitions etc.

If we're going to bid for a player in January, then the priority would be someone who has PL experience. This is where a player like Deulofeu would be more attractive to us since he played here last year and had chemistry with Coleman. Ayew, while rated, is more of a long term buy option in the summer when he would have a pre-season to get up to speed.

Would Cahill make an impact? He could at least bring some of that fighting instinct to the dressing room while his MLS season is off. Also could maybe make our corners look good with late runs turning to goals.

Borussia Dortmund @BVB
Borussia Dortmund will sign 24-year old Slovenian international Kevin Kampl from Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.

Absolutely gutted. He's amazing.

Cahill was a legend at the time he was at the club, but age would be again him if he came back on loan and it would take him a few weeks to get up to speed with the game and the MLS would be back on again he was up to speed to play in the prem

Aston Villa will tie up a £7.5million move to keep midfielder Tom Cleverley on their books when the January transfer window opens. Boss Paul Lambert has been so impressed with the 25-year-old that he wants to activate an option in the deadline day loan deal Villa agreed with Manchester United to sign him.

Cleverley’s Old Trafford contract runs out in the summer, making him free now to talk to clubs abroad about his future.
Villa’s money men would ideally prefer to delay a deal until the summer in the hope of keeping the former England star, who has enjoyed his game under Lambert, on their books for free. But his form has improved so much since getting regular games – the match with United was the first game he’s missed since signing – that Lambert doesn’t want to take the risk of losing him.

Where's Reus off to then?

Real or Chelsea, in my opinion.

I still think back to when Hazard's wife was saying that she longed to return to France, and that he would go whenever it took to make her happy. I've had a feeling ever since that Chelsea will eventually bid for Reus and they'll appease FFP by selling Hazard to PSG.

Seeing as we have:

Stones / Besic / Barkley / Lukaku all hovering around 21 and McCarthy slightly older then a gap of a few years below them I would love to see

Deulofeu return to the fold
Butland or similar age/potential

Gives us 7 very interesting young players in the first team.

Would be an interesting squad for the future, but some will be dissatisfied if they aren't all replaced in 4 years.
