i'm not for signing ex-kopites but several of my mates who happen to support Liverpool have said that Shelvey is a good player, just a bit of a snide. You's will all be buzzing if he replaces Barry, and ya know it. There are DEFINITELY more pressing priorities though.

He isn't having a great season so there's a danger he might be a player who looks like a world beater at youth level but doesn't make it in the pros.

Bit too much of a gamble especially given the price quoted.

We need 2 wide players, a CB, and a keeper ready to challenge Tim before another central middie, no? Tired of this playing players out of position garbage. We have center mids. Shelvey does nothing for us in my opinion. Sign a wide player please.

I actually think he's a fairly decent player. Players can be decent you know, not just GASH POO KACK or ERRRRMAAAAYYYZZZIIINNN! M8!! There is a middle ground.

Not that I'd want him here, the horrible little Voldemort/Gollum hybrid.

We don't have enough players that can create and score goals from midfield. The fact that Martinez has been trying Baines there seems to suggest he might see it the same.

IMO we have missed Osman and I'm certainly not his greatest fan and wouldn't want to start relying on him.
 
Shelvey can be good but is literally the opposite kind of person that we need in the squad. Lazy, prone to massive errors, bit of a tool. Would be gutted if he joined.

True I'm not 100% on him either but we need to find goals from midfield. Personally I think we need to buy a No10 or attacking midfielder and drop Barkley back to partner either Besic or McCarthy. Although I really like McCarthy if the price is right it might make sense to sell.

We can't keep playing with two holding midfielders. It's fine against the top teams but any team from around 4th down find it too easy to neutralize us now.

But then again there's a few areas we need new faces.
