We could do a lot worse than signing Kaboul and Lennon from Spurs (both available for cheap), plus Reid from West Ham. Get all three for less than 15m and it'd improve us no end. Strength at the back and a massive step up from Jagielka and Distin, pace on the wing. Lennon would just need to work on his end product, but I reckon he'd jump at a move back up north. While we're at it, why not go for Vorm from Spurs. Surely he's realised he's never going to get a game for them.
 
For Sam Allyrdyce to say what he did about Winston Reid implies that it is already known he is leaving West Ham and also knows where he is going. Sam was softening supporters up for losing one of their very best players. Would be very welcome at Everton , but not going to happen.
 

WHU think that they can get into Europe if they keep him , which in their minds , is worth the fee of £3/4 million that they could get now.

Lennon has been needing to work on his end product for ten years now lid.

I dont think anybody is ever available for cheap from Tottenham.
I dont know if Lennon is much of an upgrade on McGeady and Kaboul isnt a bad shout as cover but not much more
The Vorm idea is an excellent shout but Levy would want blood
I assume Reid is already spoken for unfortunately
 
Clearly, and I do mean CLEARLY it won't happen, but if Shaqiri signs for Stoke*, we should all go and jump off something high.

* They've declared a "genuine interest"
