this person reliable @AaronTheBlue i like vela, but i'm not sure he's worth that high of a fee, especially seeing as he's a massive gamble having already not succeeded over here.

with marshall i'm also not sure, it's totally different playing for a team like cardiff where you're bombareded with shots all the time, than to us where you may only get 1 or 2 saves and are likely to lapse in conentration.

the way we've defended this season though, that won't be a problem, ha. class act last season like.

Think a decent gk, a good CB to cover for stones and jags plus a winger and that would be sound.

Vela was only 20-odd years old when he played in the Prem, and didn't have many real chances.

Obviously it's impossible to tell whether he'd be a success, but I think he'd likely do a lot better now consider how great he's been for RS

i would say he has very little ambition rather than being professional tbh. no keeper should be happy to sit on the bench imo. steve harper springs to mind, didn't exactly do much in his career did he?

And even if we do, is it a good idea to spend the whole lot on one player? I mean, if RM has a couple of loans lined up to then fair enough, but otherwise.... we need three players: GK, CB, RW. Even if we shift Alcaraz, Gibson and Howard to raise extra funds, I don't think we could get the three players we need on what we'd have left over after spending 17m on one player.

I used the word 'player' a lot there. Apologies.

haha, can't call them that.

yeah, i know, players rarely seem to struggle in the prem, go abroad and then come back and actually be a success in the prem.
