Yep, CB has to be a priority. Just can't help but think that Martinez still rates Jagielka enough for him to be an automatic starter who doesn't need replacing...

Alcaraz and Distin are gone end of the season and we're left with a rapidly deteriorating Jagielka and the excellent Stones, who is likely to be much in demand.

Not getting a decent CB now will lead us to finishing around 10th/12th this season, a complete embarrassment after the highs of last campaign.

As embarrassing as that is... over the moon with that outcome!

We need to get a CB in as a matter of urgency. It doesn't bear thinking about Stones being out again and being left with a Jagielka/Distin CB pairing.

If there's any incoming it has to be there. GK we can just about soldier on with....ditto winger positions.

Which brings me onto a point i was going to make.
I think with Marshall i get the feeling that Roberto is wanting to buy a decent keeper who'll give us a few years (Which Marshall will) for a decent price whilst putting all his money into a CB and a Winger.

Every single game he plays he sets up at least one golden chance for the opposition. He'll cost us points in every other game.

He's not a kid who can knock this rubbish off by getting more experience, he's a seasoned professional who's lost the plot and on his way down.

Joey barton talking about Arsneal should sign stones as he would be perfect for them. Glad stones is getting the praise now but it worries me that actual talent will be bought up ala chambers / shaw last summer. Barkley has always been a great prospect but Stones has been out and out incredible since he broke into the team compared to most central defenders his age. Will stones leave for 20 in the summer? Barkley 30, coleman who knows? McCarthy 15-30, there is big money to be made but none of them are sellable to benefit the team.

Marshall is ok; the figures badied about for him though are ridiculous.

I'd be absolutely devastated if we blew all of our cash on a winger and left GK/CB positions alone this window or in summer. Personally rather see us getting a load of clean sheets than us scoring more goals. We have enough about us to score 1 goal every game but right now I can't picture us ever not letting one in either.

1-0 win > 6-3 mauling

Be interesting to see if anyone asks any transfer related questions at the presser @ 12
I'd be very surprised if he says he's bringing players in or even looking for them seriously. Confidence is just back up off the floor and I doubt RM will want to be seen to be suggesting the squad he has need rescuing from themselves.

Yes as I said earlier most of his stories are ones that are reported in media. Not hard to guess at that one is it?

But the first Cleverly post here was before the papers mentioned it.

I remember several years ago Everton forums had a few GENUINE ITK's, going back 5/10 years or more.

Ian Ross was the Grim Reaper.

Their was another lad called USI-RA who was on the medical staff who would let slip who had medicals booked. All good stuff.

People with snippets get hounded off if a transfer doesnt happen within 48 hrs, and are dismissed as being troublemaking reds if it's bad news.

However, another person mentions "Schurlle would be decent!" and it gathers momemntum like crazy.
