I think some people are in for a massive shock if we sign Januzaj, seriously under rated on this board and he'd fit right in with this group of young but elite players in the game that we are building.

I'd be over the moon with that deal with my only concern being whether there was a clause to buy at the end of it.

It hurts seeing quality players come in knowing there's no chance of them staying.

There's no shame in not getting picked before Rooney, Di Maria and Mata.

I'd only be interested in Januzaj if there was some sort of clause to buy.

I don't like all this developing other clubs talent, only for them to leave at the end of the loan.

Quick question for those who are asking for Geri back:

Has he played an official match for Barcelona this season or did he sign for Sevilla during pre-season? I ask only because if he has we definitely can't sign him & also I think he's cup tied in the EL which blows.
He only played in friendlies in pre-season. I don't think that counts although he is cup tied.

Januzaj is a much better forward than Del. Better end product, more consistent.

I think in the haze of Del Love, some are forgetting how terrible/ineffective he could be in some matches.

:coffee:

Only way that's true is if Martinez and Eto'o have had a massive falling-out. If other clubs have approached us with money bids, then maybe...

As for Januzaj: I'd prefer Deulofeu, but I haven't really seen enough of Januzaj to form an opinion on him.
I thought Januzaj was good plus Moyes must really have rated him and lets be honest Davey could spot a player.

No-one's saying Gerry was the finished product. He is outrageously good for his age though, and completely fearless when it came to taking on a man and skinning him. He also has goals in him - we NEED those qualities in the form of a winger or a 10. We are desperately short of options out wide because Pienaar is coming to the end of his career, Atsu's shown us nothing so far and McGeady.... well, anyone who thinks McGeady is starting XI quality for the prem should probably be sectioned. In covering for our deficiencies out wide, we continually stifle Eto'o and Barkley by lining them up as wingers, and we corrupt our shape in doing so.

I understand your comparison of Deulofeu with Mirallas and I don't completely disagree... but Mirallas was MotM last night.
There definitely is a point at playing Barkley, Mirallas and Deulofeu might leave us a bit open defensively but with Besic and McCarthy both playing we should have the legs to press high and win the ball back quickly negating that particular issue to some degree.

Januzaj 15 starts 4 goals 3 assists

Del 9 starts 3 goals 3 assists

Even with my vast amount of knowledge (FIFA) - who the Hell is this guy?

TOFFEES SWOOP FOR BENALI

Everton are reportedly ready to make a late attempt to hijackCeltic’s move for former Manchester City midfielder Ahmad Benali.

The 22-year-old came up through the youth ranks at City but was sold in 2012 to Italian side Brescia.

However, the Daily Mirror report that Brescia have failed to pay their players for a fortnight and if they miss another payment then the club could be wound up, with players allowed to leave for free.

Celtic have been linked with a move for the Libya international but he would apparently prefer a return to the Premier League and Everton are monitoring the situation.
