I know you said "like him" but some have actually argued for him. Seems to be injured a lot and would be on a lot of wages even if he wanted to come here which he won't plus it's debatable how he would fit into a team with both Ross and Rom.

Wages would be huge, also, no chance he would come here as he would be looking for a champions league team, and as you say, how would he fit in.

Can't see Martinez after another young, promising keeper. Looking for an experienced one.

Doesn't that go against everything he has said in recent weeks though? If we sign a keeper it will be a long term one, which suggests a younger player.

If Robles even approaches Howards 'good days' then Howard should be cashed in whilst we still can, then have Robles/New Keeper fight it out.

EAGLES FLIES AWAY FROM SEASIDERS

Blackpool have released winger Chris Eagles after two months at the club.

"We'll not be renewing Chris's contract, we'll be using the finance for that one elsewhere," said manager Lee Clark

"We've got other areas where we need to strengthen."

WINGER CRISIS SOLVED!

Where's the LAMBERT story come from. Someone high on LUDES, clearly (hopefully).

You know what's dispiriting, we're barely being linked with ANYONE. I've a couple of friends in the 'paper' biz and.......nothing of substance at all as yet.

Which, frankly, concerns a tad.
There's been absolutely nothing believable all window except the same BS paper stories about all our players being sold which given our position seem a bit less BS this year.

Either.

1. Bill doesn't want to risk Martinez with the money
2. We're not going to be spending for a few years until the stadium is built
3. Martinez is holding on till summer when his targets become available.

Take your pick but I would be very surprised if we sign anyone at all.

That Simon lad is really good. A bit of a goalkeepernerd myself, so I would be very happy with him coming here

I'm going to put my 100% faith in you and trust your judgement. I have never heard or seen him play except for that youtube video but he's certainly at a good age and a decent price to start with. Sign him up Kantareller!!

Not for me, ball greedy, generally shoots over the bar virtually every time he gets the ball. As a replacement for Kev, I'd cry.
He is ball greedy but that's something that can be taught especially considering he seemed bright when commentating on the world cup.

He's obviously not as good as Kev now but Kev is 27 and if he's looking to leave then if we where to get Townsend and even perhaps some money I would go for that. The only problem is that they would both be cup tied for Europa.

I would sign a swap deal for the summer if all parties agreed now. If that's even allowed.
