Saul would definitely be an improvement over Barry who to be fair hasn't been awful these last 4 games. I don't think there's anything to it. Every young player in Spain gets linked to us because of Deulofeu. Shame is that none actually come.
We need a creative David Silva type player. That's all. I would be delighted if we got one and no-one else plus I really think Joel has stepped up. Even last night with the punch and the save (that was offside) he showed he can be relied on even in games when he has little to do. Of course that's taking a bit of a risk and CB and RB but right now we need to blow whatever we have on someone that will help us put the ball in the net.
totally agree. teams are going to park the bus against us like Pulis did and we're missing that creative player who can unlock the defense. people can talk about martinez's "sideways" tactics all they want but even when we started playing balls in to the box yesterday all our crosses and corners were poor

Barry's passing gives us the directness that everyone has been going mental for in the last month or so. That's why he isn't subbed or dropped.
It was Barry last night (and West Ham) who was the only one pinging the balls up the field with any degree of accuracy.

Besic was trying to and did a few times too. It's hard for both of them when there's no movement anywhere.

This how I play on FIFA career mode haha.

On another note - Joel Campbell is available for loan now according to Sky Sports. Surely worth a punt as an unpredictable wide man with a decent shot?

Isnt Joel Campbell going to Moist's new team on loan with view to buy?

Think they are off soon mate. Can't see any transfer business being done while they are away. But you never know!
Thanks mate. We took Besic with to Bangkok for the pre-season against Leicester, but this time it doesn´t seem so. :(

And I think, aslong as the team is in Qatar, there will be transfer activities.and where is the reason to go to Qatar in this situation? Save the money and spend on new players!

Qatar is potential investment hunting but is more likely just a way to give the lads a little bit of relaxation after the Christmas period and team morale building. Hopefully it has the best effect but obviously we're Everton so they'll all come home with severe sunburn and won't be able to play.
