There could be a variety of reasons.

But we're not 'borrowing it', as such.

It's our money that City owe us. The exact same amount. That payment is due at the end of the season.

So we're simply taking that £13.5m now from Santander, at a low interest rate I'd imagine, and it'll be paid back in full come the summer...

Sam got him playing out of his skin last season. Off the boil a bit again now he's under a 'Normal' manager

He's been injured all season and since he came back Palace have got a hell of a lot better.

He's a good player but have a feeling he needs to be the main man to get the best out of him.
