Personally, if we're going to spend the premium for experienced international players, I think we should be looking at countries with a bit of footballing pedigree, rather than the home nations.

Seems to be back in favour at Arsenal and clearly one of their better midfielder. He puts that Xhaka to shame. And seems to be doing 90 minutes' now too.

Doubt they'd let him go/he'd want to come here or leave there.

Think he will leave personally mate, fact arsenal have said they won't be discussing a new co tract till next year suggests they aren't that arsed if he goes, come Jan he can talk to teams.

I would agree except he scored 25 goals last season, mainly in the half season that Sam was in charge. He obviously knows how to make him into a player

I think some of us, not me, have been a bit unfair to Bainsey, but we need a left back and I don't think Luke Shaw will
be getting a Christmas card from Mourinho. Could be a cut price special.

The way I see it, this season is a write off, so I’d rather see major surgery in Jan & use the rest of the season to settle in. Start next season with a settled team.

If we can offload Besic, McCarthy, Mirallas & Klaasen, that would free up wages & have zero negative effect. Can probably add Sandro to that list.

If we can get N’Zonzi or similar, I’d be happy to move Schneiderlin on. We have plenty of cover there with Gueye, Davies, Rooney, Baningme.

Obviously, we need a striker, LCB, LB. Really hope he goes all out to get 1st choice in these positions. No squad fillers.

Really hope we keep Barkley, get him back on track. Sigurdsson is a good player, but he’s never been top 6 level. If we have aspirations of breaking into the top 5, then we can’t accommodate a player with his limitations. No pace dead ball specialist. Costly mistake, but better to take the hit than waste 2 seasons trying to make it work.

I’m sure Sam’s waited all his life to have a real opportunity to wheel & deal.

we definitely are mate. We could never have been any worse than we were at the start and are still 8 or 9 points ahead now. With a lot of god players to come back and we'll strengthen again in jan.

Martinez is the next big thing to come out of South America. Recently Atletico signed a couple of others from down there but theyre quite lightweight...this guy is strong and is going to be the next superstar to develop atthat club. I don't think we have much chance of signing him,

Our football (and specially team who aren't Boca or River) is characterized for selling cheap.

the rumors here say he could leave in the middle of 2018 for about 12,000,000 (dollars).

I think that is not expensive considering the quality of Martinez.

Atletico a few years ago signed vietto (also from Racing) for a similar amount... and, as a Racing fan, i can tell you that Martinez is by far a best player than him.
