My problem with signing 25-28 year olds is that by that age they've finished improving, so you end up with players either not good enough for the top 6 (Gueye, Siggy, Bolasie) or who have had their big move and failed (Schneiderlin).

The good 25-28 year olds are already at the top clubs and playing their peak year football with them.

We'd be far better getting the 20-24 year olds showing real potential and still with room for improvement.

Sisto. I wanted him when he was at Midtjylland. One who is brilliant in FM but actually really good in real life too. We certainly need a player that can go past his man because at the moment we have no one to do that and pull defenders out of their shape. However I suspect that ship has sailed.

As a rule this works well. However you do occasionally get a gem in that bracket.

No not been linked but he caught my eye
Playing for Celta Vigo I cant imagine he would cost big money.
I will say I’ve only seen him play against Cyrus Christie so I can’t really say

Apparently he is going on a free from Kiev. He is valued at £8 mill, is 28 years old and a solid performer for Croatia. Seems like a no brainer but Im not sure we have brains so he will most likely go somewhere else and do great. haha

I agree but we did that a bit in the summer with Klaassen and Sandro and many of the 'fans' have already written them off after a handful of appearances. Some of them have even liked your post. Bizzare.
