My problem with signing 25-28 year olds is that by that age they've finished improving, so you end up with players either not good enough for the top 6 (Gueye, Siggy, Bolasie) or who have had their big move and failed (Schneiderlin).
The good 25-28 year olds are already at the top clubs and playing their peak year football with them.
We'd be far better getting the 20-24 year olds showing real potential and still with room for improvement.
