It's a poor league to judge a player with that price tag
Obviously it's all about goals and the striker we need

But Niasse would look better than him in that team if we done a straight swap

I whole heartedly agree mate, I’ve been willing us to sign said player since he was at Fulham, would still be an excellent acquisition for us.

I think we also have the metric of the CL and the players in question have proven on that stage they can perform, it’s a risk without question, but no more then signing any player really.

There are increasing number of player from the SPL coming down and doing well in England’s top keagues, we have had a few ourselves.

If you ignore Van Dijk, Wanyama, Aiden McGeady and Fraser Forster. Then, yes, 6.5 for Petrov is the biggest fee received.
