The Russian league is definitely not terrible. It is a second tier league in Europe. If we can sign players from the Dutch league, well, the Russian league represents a similar level if not higher. Similar to Portugal, France etc. so to get players from there can be a good option for us I believe. He's performed there outstandingly for 3,5 seasons now and he is 25 and he is a fantastic dribbler and a winger who scores goals, just what this team needs. I'd be running after him all day if I had the chance.

Sturridge is a fine striker but I highly doubt he's fit enough to play as much as we need Cenk to. Wouldn't be surprised if he has to sit some games out before the end of the season.
