How so? we have two more attacking players, and a new centre half.

and we have released players who couldn't make the squad. Lookman im gutted has left, but apart from that i cant see why you would think we are weaker.
Because if Tosun and Walcott get injured, or don’t deliver, then we can’t even call on Lookman or Sandro to add natural attacking threat. We are relying on luck rather than options.

Last night helps a lot. If we'd lost I'd be concerned. But now we're sitting reasonably comfortably and there's only 13 games left. Not many really at all.

We have 3 strikers. 3 wide players. 3 out and out Centre mids. Rooney as a deep midfielder or at a push, can play across a front 4. Klassen is still here. Siguurdson can play across the front line. We have 2 right backs and Cuco. We have Baines, Cuco and Garbutt on the left, and Mangala who played there for Porto. We have 5 centre halves with RFM to return in March. Our depth is fine for out schedule. 31 was a very high number, not conducive to good morale or easy for coaches to deal with.

If we get safe by April then a few kids can be given a chance. Then we hopefully reintegrate Lookman Dowell Klassen Onyekuru etc in preseason.

By the looks of it, despite Sam's lies, the plan was always to send him out on loan.

Derby was the other option, and the one the club wanted. Lookman chose Leipzig.

..I really doubt it was a case of Allardyce ‘lying’. I know folk don’t like him but I think some comments are simply born out of that rather than being analytical. Allardyce appears a straight talking bloke, he tends to say things as they are and my view is that he wasn’t ‘lying’ when he said Lookman wouldn’t be going on Loan. I really can’t see why he would ‘lie’.

I suspect he had no intention of letting him go at that point but it appears Lookman and his agent were forcing the move. With Bolasie and Walcott ahead of him in the conventional winger queue, a re-think was probably had and perhaps a decision made to let him go and get some monies in.

Saying Allardyce was telling ‘lies’ is a very strong accusation.

Speaking sense as always Eggs

Should've said fibs :)

But yeh, you're probably right.

And I'm not that bothered Lookman has gone out on loan. I just hope it works out for him and us.

Almost as strong an accusation as taking a bung for a speaking engagement when it’s illegal based on your contract. BFS is not an honest man, clearly.
