- According to the Daily Mail, Everton are keen on signing £20m Lille defender, Adama Soumaoro. The 25 year old is primarily a CB but can play anywhere across the back four.

- AS report Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in £13.5m rated forward, Nicolas Gaitan. The 29 year old plays for Athletico Madrid and his agent, Jose Iribarren, suggests a few Premier League clubs want to sign the player.

- The Telegraph says Chelsea are about to renew their interest in £22.2m rated Everton midfielder, Ross Barkley.

- SportFootball website reports Everton have agreed £145k per week personal terms with Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun. The 26 year old will cost £25m and be contracted until 2022.

- According to the Dàily Star, Everton and Liverpool are battling for the signature of young Preston defender, Josh Earl. The 19 year old is 6ft 5in has broken into the Preston team this season at Left Back.

Ahhh i missed these updates mate :)

Gaitan - yes please, for anything around that type of fee would be an absolute bargain, fast, skilful and can go past players for fun, very unlike an Allardyce type signing though I'd imagine. Was brilliant just 18 months ago when at Benfica.

Gaitan is an upgrade over what we have and likes to play the left side. I'm assuming we are selling Kev and we'd then loan out Lookman or Vlasic. It doesn't really make sense why we'd want him - 29 years old, good player, but past his prime. Perhaps we are selling Lennon, too?

Don't think he is past his prime, just think he's at a side with some exceptional players who can play in his position mate
