...well the transfer window is still open and the speculation continues. Here’s a summary of rumours for this Sunday morning;

- The Daily Mail says Newcastle United have turned their attention to Everton striker, Sandro Ramirez, and are willing to pay a £2m loan fee plus the players £100k per week wages. Marca, however, report Sevilla have reignited their interest and Everton have asked £500k to take the player on loan. Sevilla will struggle, however, to pay the players £80k per week salary and may ask him to take a pay cut.

- The Mail also suggests Everton have enquired about Left backs, Patrick van Aanholt of Crystal Palace, and Chelsea’s Baba Rahman. Rahman is also a target for Inter Milan and Schalke.

- SportsMole quotes Burnley manager Sean Dyche refusing to confirm interest in Everton winger, Aaron Lennon. Lennon was not involved in Everton’s game against West Brom yesterday.

- According to Sky Sports, it’s very unlikely that Everton will bid for Leicester striker, Jamie Vardy.

- News outlet, Takvim, claim Galatasary want Everton’s Oumar Niasse on an 18 month loan deal.

- Haberturk report Everton and Leicester interest in 33 year old Serbian Centre Back, Dusko Tosic, who plays for Besiktas.

We should be all over Juan Mata with United now wanting to move him on. He's about to turn 30 and yes it will be yet another number 10, but the rest of our number 10's are awful. He could actually bring some creativity to the side, which we so urgently need.

You’re correct, we need to sort out our defence and a before anything else. We cannot rely on two aging centrebacks. Holgate, Keane and Funes Mori isn’t enough

It all comes from our inability to keep hold of the ball in midfield though. We haven’t got a midfielder that can pass forward. Mata wouldn’t help if we couldn’t get the ball to him.
