Not as a first choice centre forward however I would 100% take him as a squad option.

If we finish top 7 we are getting Europa League and will need atleast 3 strikers on the books - Sandro, Niasse and Tosun will all be gone in the next 2 windows (and hopefully DCL).

We will be lucky to sign 1 top quality striker never mind convincing a 2nd one to come sit on our bench. A player like Ings/King/Wilson who can contribute 12-15 goals a season from the bench would be very shrewd business.

People laugh but thats because he's from the RS if he was on loan from Arsenal or Chelsea most people wouldn't be bothered.

We are crying out for someone who can come off the bench at 70 minutes and actually have the pace, power and ability to win us games when we are level/losing.

But mate Ings has never proven he can score 12-15 goals a season even when hes first choice, what makes you think he would get 12 off the bench?

His highest goal tally is 11 goals in 35 games, hes scored 2, 0 and 1 goal in his last 3 seasons, he scored 3 goals in 32 games in the championship.

Your acting like hes Alan Shearer just cos hes hit the first ever purple patch in his entire career.

Hes scored 20 goals in the last 5 Premier League seasons, thats 20 total, not 20 a season.

I can’t even be bothered.

If he was a regular goal scorer he would never be a squad option as he would be demanding 1st team football at a top club.

As I've said mate we will be lucky as hell if we can sign a 20 goal a season striker to lead the line but I doubt we will be able to attract a 2nd one whos happy to sit on the bench and be happy with a few games in the cups/europe and off the bench for 20 minutes.

If we can get someone like Ings/Wilson/King in the summer as a squad player I would be delighted. I think our fans have actually forgotten what a half decent striker is after being subjected to DCL/Niasse/Tosun over these past 18 months.

Having someone on the bench with actual pace and the ability to get into the box and get on the end of things when we need a goal can make a massive difference imo. Not world beaters by any means but useful when we need a goal when we only have Lookman at present who doesn't score.

We don't have a 1st choice striker so no point shopping for a bench striker is there.

I know what a good Striker looks like and it doesnt look like Danny Ings.

Besides, Southampton would probably want 40m or so for him, im almost certain Brands could do much better for 40m.

I wont be fielding anymore questions on Danny freaking Ings.

We did this little dance about Davies too mate, and what do you know? We've played much better without him.
So 4 Everton managers plus numerous England u18/U21 etc managers are less informed than your good self.... Maybe they should consult with you in future. Oh and did you go to City on Saturday? If so you will have seen how we improved when Davies came on.
