Not aimed at you @Eggs, but the tone is aimed at Everton after Saturday: Thanks for nothing.....it’s the 21st day of the January transfer window, so the end is in sight. There’s very little Toffee transfer rumours to bring you this Monday morning;
- Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Everton Manager, Marco Silva, ruled out a January exit for midfielder Idrissa Gueye amid speculation that PSG are interested in the 29 year old. Silva admitted talking to the Senegalese international: “I think he heard and I think he read. It is something I can tell you that I spoke with him about, for him to be focused on his job. I hope the things people are talking about don’t disturb him.”
- According to Sports Mole website, Everton will launch a £40m move for Chelsea’s 25 year old striker, Michy Batshuayi, this week.
- The Mirror report Everton want West Brom’s Head of Academy Recruitement, Steve Hopcroft.
No idea.
Who've they got in the proper next round ?
Oh..
I cant deny that he is a great tackler and disrupter of the opponents game. In that aspect he is one of the best in Europe. I think the biggest problem is distribution but also him and Siggy playing together. If Gana wasn't the deepest mid in the team every time and was allowed to pressure higher up field i think we would be better off. His low risk passing would be better suited in the opponents half than our own where if he loses it the break just needs to make it past the CBs and then they're on to goal. Let him win the ball high up field and if he over commits like he did against southampton then there are 5-6 others to cover him.Like I said before, I watch the matches and I know what I'm looking it. I'm look at a team that makes bad decisions with the ball. I see a team that cannot defend in space. I see a team that cannot make a killer pass. That stats HAPPEN to show that as well.
So to me, Gana makes decent decisions with the ball. He doesn't give it away. He wins the ball and gives it to a teammate. That's his job and I'm fine with it. I don't care that he's not a dynamic passer. He does pass it downfield at times, but not often, and I'm fine with it. Because that's his role and it plays it well.
Look, I would LOVE to have a DM that was more dynamic. But when your other players can't keep the ball, it REQUIRES a player like Gana.
I just find it hilarious that the one guy that does his job well, so many have a problem with him. Especially when he works his tail off.
...maybe if they are Messi & Mbappe.
Still worried about these £40m transfer rumors. That money could get us 2-3 youngsters to build our teams core.....it’s the 21st day of the January transfer window, so the end is in sight. There’s very little Toffee transfer rumours to bring you this Monday morning;

Saw a bit of Fulham the other week. Don't mind the look of Mitrovic.
Thought he held the ball up well. Put some nice passes in and linked up well.
Basically what we are missing
So what you’re saying it’s ok for Gana to lose the ball, just as long it’s not in our halfI cant deny that he is a great tackler and disrupter of the opponents game. regardless we still need a passer that plays deeper than Siggy and Gomes/Gana aren't enough.

Dear Barcelona,
First off, thanks for Digne. A proper player, with the backbone to persevere while others around him are stood there scratching their collective arses.
I'm beginning to see why Gomes didn't make it with you, and as for Mina, looks like you had our proverbial kecks down there you cheeky monkeys!
Any way, the real reason I'm writing is to enquire as to whether you have a half decent striker going spare. Preferably one who doesn't mind playing with little service, in a system that will isolate him/her for a considerable portion of the match.
I'm looking for a bargain, but I feel like you maybe owe us a favour given the sneaky way you activated Del boy's buy-back clause even though you had no intention of making him a Barca player.
I realise that this may leave you a little short squad-wise, but we're not, so win-win! I'm willing to let you have your pick of about 20 of our squad players for next to nothing. Anyway, let me know. Food for thought.
Yours always,
Jimmy.
Who owns ZoumaThere are always options, even without serious money to spend, but there doesn't seem to be much imagination at the club when it comes to transfers.
I'd have had Nasri on a short-term deal, and I'd take Drinkwater on loan, too. I don't really expect anything to happen this month, though.
