I think theyre very different players mate...the only 3 similarities i can think of are;
1 -- Long shots
2 -- Leadership (Gylfi for his country)
3 -- Covering distance per game

As much as i think he can achieve this i still think that we need to shift out a good 5 players this window...there needs to be 1 or 2 players brought in to begin the work before the summer...

Sell 5 of those and bring in a CM and an attacking player and were nicely placed for the summer.
If Fernandes was performing as he did the last 2 seasons (havent seen him this year aside from highlights) in the prem he'd be one of the best in the league.
Brandalf is the one...if we had, had him during the Martinez reign with some cash i think we would have done better + if before Koeman we would never have appointed him.
Just seeing the quality he has brought in and the aura around him fills me with confidence.
Another beauty with Fernandes is that he's able to play any of the midfield positions and has also looked very good out wide as well...
Would be sexy next to Gomes.
Thats the downer...have to cross our toes.
Some super talent has come from Portugal over the years and their teams have always looked cohesive with some star players in the lineups...
Cant compare to Scotland or even Holland.

Its clear since the last window closed we still needed to add to this squad and even more apparent in our last 5/6 games that some of these players are clearly not up to it. So why have we not signed anyone yet? Has Brands been working tirelessly to improve this squad?

I'd much prefer the January window was abolished; player valuations are vastly inflated. And close the summer window before the PL season starts.

I'll be honest I've never seen either play, malcolm only went to barca in summer he'll want to try and establish himself I'd imagine, although Mina was only there 6 months I suppose.

with palace , burnley and Newcastle recently improving we will be in a very worrying bottome half scrap that could easily end up in relegation. Marco has already over seen one relegation.

The manager at Barca did'nt sign Malcolm and has made it quite clear that he does'nt really fit into his plans. Malcolm seems to want to try and force a way in (understandable i guess but not easy as a certain L Messi is ahead of him) it was always an odd signing, he was nailed on for Roma then Barca came in at the last minute.
