....we’re no7 in the FA Cup 4th Round Cup draw tonight, it’s also 7th January and day 7 of the transfer window. Here’s this Monday morning’s Toffee transfer rumours;

- A claim by AS Argentina says Everton are trying to sign midfielder Wilmar Barrios from Boca Juniors for £16.5m which is less than the Colombian internationals £25m release clause.

- A Bola report Everton are keen on Sporting Lisbon’s 24 year old playmaker, Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese international has scored 14 goals this season and has a reported £36m price tag.

- According to Marca, Everton are still interested in Barcelona winger, Malcom, who doesn’t appear to have the backing of Manager, Ernesto Valverde. Marca also report the Brazilian would prefertowaituntil the summer before deciding his future.

- Coventry Live say Coventry are lining up a loan move for Everton’s attacking midfielder, Antony Evans. The 20 year old signed a contract extension to 2020, and Blackpool are also said to be interested in the 20 year old.

- The Mail pick up on the story from Italy suggesting Everton are monitoring Atalanta’s 22 year old Centre Back, Gianluca Mancini with a view to submitting a bid in the Summer.

- Bristol Live say Bristol City are ready to bid £1m for Everton’s 22 year old midfielder, Joe Williams, who is currently on loan at Bolton Wanderers.

Top work as always Eggs. Thank you sir.

Whether we go for someone like Barrios or if we save the money for a striker really depends on how much we can actually spend.

If we have max £20m to spend we may as well save the money for the summer to buy one player to have a big impact.

As we’ve seen, we can get most positions covered with a couple of loans (Zouma, Gomes), but a quality striker isn’t the type available for a cheap loan.

A striker has to be the priority.

Barrios doesn’t make sense unless we are shipping out Gana.
He isn’t an improvement on Gana or McCathy for that matter. He’s as poor a passer as either of them.
A lot nastier though.

The scene is set...

Children are crying, mother's worrying, weasels scurrying away to find a safe hiding place, the music score is a Hans Zimmer suspense special, out if the shadows steps a hazy figure...the town's people are frozen in fear... What being has visited them...

It can't be... It's...

it's...

It's the emergence of a challenge to Zat and his player knowledge.

Crimhead!!!!
Nah, Zat's got me. I do watch a lot of games. Decent on the Bundesliga. A bit of La Liga and Lique 1 for some reason.

He's a better passer and quite good on the ball. Not sure where the idea that he's not a good passer comes from.

I honestly think Silva would like to play them some together a la Capoue / Doucoure. It just gives him a lot more flexibility.
