only that newcastle are interested in mccarthy and prepared to pay big wages, perm deal

I suppose that's possible with Clev being on a loan with compulsory purchase at season end, so we know he wont be back. Yet, if Deeps has been told he can have 7 once Del is gone, it's an easy bet to say he'd want to wait for that, IMO.

Don't think it's the number issue but more to do with shifting a winger out before signing another one. Squad numbers can be changed in the summer anyway so don't think it would be an issue having any number for a few months.

Maybe we should dispense with squad numbers and have symbols instead, Clev's could be a crab. On the terminally dull business of transfers, I predict Jags gone this month, I think/hope he will give McCarthy until the summer to prove himself, Del will be gone. No incomings.

The answer is judging by the reaction the last couple of games the crowd might prefer Luis Enrique leave before Rakitic!

Del, Jags and Kone all out for me, we won't be lucky enough to offload Gibson as nobody will take him.

That will probably mean we will bring another centre half in as I can't believe he will just leave the 3 from yesterday to cover the rest of the season, particularly with talk of Pennington going out on loan. Jags will want to be playing and he will do a job for somebody. He owes us nothing, he was a snip and has been a great servant to the club.

At least 2 incomings IMO.

Seen on 442 here in Oz that we are interested in Kone from Sunderland again and we have ongoing talks at AFCON with him, think this is just due to the fact that Jags will be joining Moist up in Sunderland
