Maybe. But I reckon the money for that particular player was there. I don't see why the Napoli owner would have mentioned our bid otherwise.

we bid 30+mil for Sissoko too so there is money there. I'm hopefully that funds will be made available in January

I don't see why the money wouldn't be there if it was in the summer.

Just the issue of persuading people to actually join us looks to be the problem.

The main issue is that Koubilay was 60m in the Summer and that means hes gonna be 80m in January.

But theres bargains out there, players who arent getting a sniff at other clubs, for example the boy Morgan.

Walsh has had time to scout and put things in place and Koeman should now have a very good understanding of what he needs. Getting business done early and efficiently would go a long way in making up for how stupid we looked towards the end of the summer.
