All these rumours and we'll with up with Leon Osman choosing us over Acc Stanley. we have steve walsh now whose job it is to bring in players. cant wait to see what gems he brings in.

I dont think i've complained when a player we should have moved for his chosen another team over us....

What I do think we should be doing is signing players up months before the window opens, or doing as much as we can do without officially signing them.

It always seems so slapdash the way we wait till the window before making bids, surely we should be in talks with a few clubs now...tee up everything ready for them to sign on Jan 1st.

I cant think of any time we have done this other than when we got Beckford whose contract was expiring.

Im sure we have sent a few feelers out here and there, but no deals can be finalised till the windows open, lets say we agree a price with a club tomorrow and then on Monday another club rings them and says we will match/beat that price and so on.

Its about trying to make a move before everybody else. Its in the selling clubs interests to drag their feet, its in the players agents interests to drag the deal out, signing players is sometimes like Poker, Everton always seem to be holding the 2 and the 7.

I had a good feeling about the Summer and ive no bloody idea how we got it so wrong, but The Mosh has claimed we bid 60m for Koubs, he confirmed the Perez bid and also Sissoko, theres almost 100m worth of players we let slip, in the famous words of Slippy G, this does not slip.

I think you can get around this easily through 'side letters'. Basically signing with the clubs and players that the transfers would be going through prior to the formal agreements being issued during the window.

Do you have a credible journalistic source that specifically states that Delaurentis confirmed a bid as opposed to general interest?
He's certainly confirmed bids from Chelsea. Koulibaly's agent himself seems to suggest that he was aware of interest but not of a bid, “Everton? We knew of interest from Everton, but if there was anything transfer wise you would need to ask De Laurentiis."

The quotes from him were on Napoli's partner radio station...

Shane Long at the right price would be a signing I'd be very happy with, preformed very well under koeman last year and isn't getting a look in at Southampton.

We need actual footballers like
Long as an alternative to Kone, Niasse and Valencia, so I'm on board. Reckon Goodison would love his tireless running too.
