As far as I can tell the club are not standing in the way of any move for him.

This was a major concern of mine, I just thought the board would use our recent form and the emergence of some youngsters as a reason not to go out and get in the players we need to push on.
A good forward and centre half and we could hang on to 7th or even press for top six but we are going waste the opportunity

I'd rather the RS kept Sakho on the huge salary he is on. As for jags, torn on this one. Would like him to go to Sunderland and make them stay up, but what I've seen I think they're certainties for relegation and I'd hate to see him part of that. There again if he goes to Southampton, he's guaranteed safety and for a club and its supporters who think there bigger than Everton.

You strengthen the squad from a position of strength. There is a lot of positivity around the club at the moment and the press are generally supportive of what we are trying to achieve and particularly its stance of playing the youngsters. As you say we need to push on now. United's involvement in the Europa league makes 6th obtainable in my eyes. As if united drop off the pace for 4th, they will put all their resources (their strongest team) into the Europa league in the hope of winning it.
