The transfers that happen in the last few days of the window are average/old players to average/desperate clubs, can't remember the last time a big deal broke on the last day, sky haven't mentioned our deal to bring Baxter back so they can spew it out as breaking news come deadline day.

Going forward yes but as a defender hes as hopeless as the rest the main part of a defenders job is to defend hes not very good at it

Let's face it the only good players are bought in January are due to one of the following 3 things, either
A) poor summer window causes an imbalance in the squad...sound familiar?
B) due to an injury crisis.
C) teams in a relegation battle desperate for players to get out of it.
Yes we do need more players, but sadly I think we'll have to wait to the summer to strengthen other areas. If we went for Keane or sigurdsson now, we would have to pay significantly over the odds as let's face it both are in a relegation fight and both teams would require replacements.

Can only see one more potentially now, it'll be someone with 6 months left to run on their contract and they'd rather get a fee in before they leave on a free.

I think the radio silence on genuine targets (and you can usually tell the difference based on who reports it and what is reported) means that we're probably done until the summer unless something changes between now and Tuesday

Fine by me, I'd rather we only bought the players we really want than any old player (see the last minute Valencia deal as an example of what I don't want us to do) and wait until we can get them. After last summer's shenanigans, there won't be any excuses if we manage to cock up the next summer window though

Still think we need a GK, CB, winger/number 10 and striker, but it's more important to get the right ones than any old player to fill a squad number like we used to have to do in the Moyes days

Morata apparently looking to get out of Real Madrid. Linked with Arsenal and Chelsea, if you want a marquee signing there's one right there and it's a position we are seriously weak in. Total football manager stuff but wouldn't it be great if the club at least tried

We were heavily interested in depay and belfodil, surely we're going to get at least one more attacker in?
This interest was after we knew we were getting lookman and knew he was going into the first team, so that wouldn't have changed things.

I want them both and Andrew Robertson too, but you are right. Perhaps in the summer (or perhaps not, just like the players and think they could do well).

I think we need 1 more player who can play across the front. I believe Koeman feels that way too, but that he has 1 or two players in particular in mind, and if they are not there he will pass.

I also think the potential to lose Rom in the summer works against us. Logically there have to be discussions about whether we should buy a compliment to him now or wait until summer when we may have to get two.
